Jordan Corbin-Wentworth provides world-class vocal instruction for singers based in Seattle, and around the world via Skype. From beginners to acclaimed professions. Past and current students have performed on Saturday Night Live, on Broadway (Tony and Tina's wedding, Aida, The Wedding Singer, Little Women), at the Met (five students in the Met Opera's children's chorus, and one child soloist), at Carnegie Hall, and one recently won $124K in scholarships.
Jordan specialize in fixing vocal issues, and helping singers find their "sound". She has received advanced training from all over the world in vocal acoustics, vocal pedagogy, anatomy and physiology, harmonic theory, and specialized vocal issues including: The Menopausal and Manopausal Voice, Working with Young Voices, The Safe "Belt", Teaching Dramatic Opera Voices..
Jordan is a proud member of New York Singing Teachers Association (NYSTA), which is the oldest professional association of singing teachers and voice professionals.
Established in 1998.
While living and performing in Spain and NYC Jordan had the opportunity to study with the best teachers, coaches and singers in the world. Her first student won a full scholarship to Juilliard, another won a $124, 000.000 scholarship to Berklee, and others have been in famous bands (one recently played on SNL and their initials are V.W.), some on Broadway, and has had five singers in the Metropolitan Opera's Children's chorus. One was a soloist!
Meet the Business Owner
Jordan Corbin-Wentworth studied with opera legends, Juan Oncina and Tatiana Menotti in Spain. She has performed over 30 opera roles, including Violetta, Rosina, Gilda, Susanna, Despina, and Ophelia.
Her voice students have met world success, yet she continues to study and improve.
Her first opera, The Day Boy and the Night Girl, based on the short story by Georges Mac Donlald, was produced by the After Dinner Opera Company at New York's Symphony Space.
